Gornji Stoliv is an old stone village on the hills above the Bay of Kotor with a beautiful view of Perast and the islands.
The village has existed since the 14th century and once served 1200 inhabitants. It was known for the cultivation of olives and the production of olive products, such as olive oil and soap.
In the village there were 2 oil mills, 4 bakeries, a school, a post office, a small prison and a church. After many years, the village came to life again, a few residents returned and now you have the opportunity to visit the village, try local products, see what the olive mill used to look like and literally go back to the 14th century.
